Day 5 Commenting Challenge is all about your dream vacation!

When I saw this I got super excited because I have been planning my dream vacation for a while now! Let me preface this my saying that myself and Bella are extremely spoiled when it comes to vacations we live in a moderate house and I drive a moderate car so that I can save money for us to go on two vacations every year. We go in March to Destin Florida for a week every year and then we go to Cancun Mexico every year with all of my Moms family for 10 DAYS from the Friday after thanksgiving to the next Saturday. We have been going here every year since I was 14. The Riu Caribe! 

The dream vacation that I am saving up for is a 14 day cruise that leaves Hawaii and goes to Tahiti, Fiji and Australia. I have always since I was a little girl wanted to go Australia. I think this would be amazing. Cruising and seeing amazing islands. I have NEVER been on a cruise so think it looks fun!

This is the final day of the commenting challenge and I am so glad that I participated. I defiantly realized I am no longer “shy” on the blog world and will be commenting more now!

Day 4 commenting challenge!

Today is day 4 of the commenting challenge and it’s all about free time/hobbies.

First of all let me just say that I laughed when I read free time and hobbies as a single mommy there is very little if any free time for me. Bella goes to her dads Monday & Wednesday nights until 830pm and then is with him over night one night every other weekend. While I miss her to death I take advantage of this time to get my motherly chores done. IE Mondays I grocery shop and Wednesday nights I do Laundry. At my job I have to work one weekend a month, I always make sure to make that 1 weekend that Bella is with her dad hence NO FREE TIME for mamma! I am defiantly not complaining because I have this down to a SCIENCE! When I do have a free day I would say my free time is spent lounging by my grandma’s pool. Let me just say that this weekend Bella is with her Dad and I don’t work and I plan to be at the pool ALL Day Saturday. This is the only time this is going to happen and I plan to SOAK IT ALL UP!  Bella goes to bed every night by 8pm From 8-9pm I get everything ready for the next day clothes out, bags packed, lunch packed. Then at 9pm I turn on the TV for the first time all night. I am not by any means a TV Nazi but Bella just isn’t interested in it and we are usually outside. I have the DVR (THANK GOD!) and every night I will watch one show that I have recorded on their usually I watch the previous nights shows. This is my ME time, wind down time. I will watch 1 show and then crawl in to bed to READ for an hour and then asleep by 1130. I LOVE to read. I am currently reading the 50 Shades of gray I am not really “in love” with the book I actually just want to finish it and have no intentions of reading the other two books. Any other time I come up with as free time I use for shopping and dinner with friends!

{Day 3} Commenting Challenge

Once again im linking up with Jenna for the commenting challenge today is all about social media!
I must admit i am more addicted to Facebook then i would like to be! I use Facebook A LOT. I love that it reunites me with my family and friends that don't live around us and can see how big Bella is getting! I have a twitter and Google + but its just for work purposes. I defiantly check blogger every single day as well as zulily! I love that website seriously the best deals!

{DAY 2} Commenting Challenge

Hello there! Thanks for reading again today! My answers today are going to be short and sweet! If you have looked at my page you can see that i just started to blog about 3 months ago! I started reading blogs about a year ago and then finally worked up the courage to start a blog of my own. My blog will mainly be a purpose of Bella's " baby book" I want to document the fun times we have had an at the end of the year print out the blog into a book! It will also detail the life of a full time working single mamma! that in itself is a feet and i am often left feeling exhausted but oh so blessed to have this little bundle in my life. so wont you stay for awhile and enjoy the ride?

Introduction

I am participating again this year in  Jenna’s Comment Challenge. I have never done this before and i thought it would be a great way to meet new people!


I'm Katie single mommy to Bella. We live in a tiny town Central Illinois our town only has 1200 people no stop lights and we have to drive a good 15-20 minutes to get to the next biggest town. Bella is 2 1/2 and defiantly the light of my life! She currently goes to preschool 2 days a week and a home daycare 3 days a week while I work full time between 40-50 hour work weeks for an apartment rental company. I have been here since i was 16 and just moved up to office manager. I love my job and the fact that as a single mommy i got to be so successful and can afford to provide for myself and Bella. It really proves that a little hard word goes a long way! Bella and i have ZERO pets and plan to keep it that way. We are NEVER home. We like to travel as much as possible!

My work!

So i have never really mentioned anything about my job however i feel that it deserves a post of its own! I work for an apartment rental company in Illinois. I have been at my job since i was 16 yes people you are reading that right SIX-TEEN! I have been at this company for 8 amazing years. I started at the very bottom of the totem pole. All i did was sit in a room with one other person and file for 8 hours a day 5 days a week during the summer in high school. I have slowly but surely proved by myself and have worked up. I have been at my current position of assistant office manager for 4 years. Last month My self and the current office manager were called in to the CEO'S office to be told that our current director of operations was leaving :( Jonathan was an amazing boss and we miss him dearly. Jonathan has taken on a different role within my company however that role is in Singapore! With Jonathan leaving Delandis was moved to director of operations and i have been move to office manager! You can imagine my delight! I am 24,a single mother and work very hard for miss Bella. With this new job has brought on a lot more responsibility's and i am still trying to figure out how to juggle work and miss Bella. So far it has worked i just feel as if i am consistently running around like a chicken with my head cut off!

Our summer so far!

What an amazing summer it has been! Our summer has been FULL! like every single weekend we have had something planned and July only proves to be just as busy! We spend EVERY SINGLE sunday at my grandparents with all of our family and closest friends. My grandparents have an inground pool that goes from 3 feet to 12 feet and you can find us there almost every day in the summer but Sunday is a no brainer we are there from around 11am to 7pm. We have lunch, swim, take naps, have dinner and enjoy our family. every single Sunday there is no short of 20 people and 9 lounge chairs around the pool it is my favorite tradition and i defiantly crave it in the winter!

Grandma and Grandpa got a golf cart and our tiny town golf carts are street legal. This makes for lots of fun riding around town on the golf carts!

Last weekend Bella was with her dad so i go to go out for the first time in a long time it was a great time with about 20 people. here is my mom and brother!

This summer is proving to be an amazing one! Bella and i are so blessed with the family and friends who surround us. This weekend we are headed to St. Louis for a weekend at the Zoo!

Dance recital June 2012

Miss Bella has been taking dance class since November. She absolutely loves it. Now i wouldn't exactly call this a hardcore dance class. they mainly worked on things like bear crawling,rolling, and a few ballet things.Going into the class she didn't want me to leave her side and i sat in the classroom for EVERY single dance class as opposed to being on the outside looking in. She really started to warm up and as long as i was in there she participated in every single class.  About 3 months in to the class the infrastructures started talking recital i immediately ruled it out. The thing is the recital was at follinger which is a huge auditorium on the university of Illinois campus and they thought a bunch of two year olds were going to climb on stage and perform i thought they were crazy! After talking to a few other moms i just decided to give it a go, my only hope was that she would at least get on stage. I honestly wasn't concerned if she was going to perform or not i just wanted her to be on stage. Well i am proud to say she did AMAZING! not only did she get on stage but she did most of the routine. it was so amazing to see my little girl who was afraid of the class blossom into being on the stage and performing in front of 200 + people.

Memorial day weekend 2012!

Wow i am little far behind on blogging. I will be posting serval posts today and in one of them will reveal why i am so far behind on blogging so keep reading!!!

Our memorial day weekend was fabulous! We headed to Knoxville Tennessee Thursday afternoon for a long weekend of relaxing in a cabin with my bestie Sara. 5 bedrooms 5 bathrooms 1 sauna, 1 hot tub all in OUR cabin it was HEAVEN! We didn't do much the hole weekend besides relax in the pool. Sunday we did venture in to pigeon forge Tennessee to a go cart track that had a kiddie side to it and it was a BLAST. I love Tennessee it was so peaceful. it was about a 9 hour car drive and Bella did awesome. I will let the pictures do the talking of how amazing our weekend was!!
